At Study in France, we strongly believe that every international student deserves to be welcomed under the best possible conditions.
Our commitment is built on three pillars: support at every stage of mobility, free access to our resources, and a responsible approach rooted in values of sharing and inclusion.

Our Commitments at a Glance
Supporting students, ensuring free access to our platform, and taking action for the planet.
Supporting Students at Every Stage
Building a meaningful project and improving, in our own way, the experience of international students in France. Helping them at every key moment of their journey, hand in hand with schools, universities, and student associations—that’s the mission we’ve set for ourselves 🤝
A Free and Accessible Platform for All
Access to information should never be a barrier. Our model is based on the voluntary contribution of our partners, allowing us to offer free resources to students 🎉
Acting for More Responsible Mobility
Because every company has a role to play in addressing climate challenges, we donate a portion of our revenue to 1% for the Planet to support environmental initiatives 🌍
Our Commitment to Mobility, at the Heart of Our Mission
Study in France is part of the “Tech for Good” movement, as a mission-driven company. In practice, this means we dedicate our human and financial resources to a goal that serves the public good. And for us, that goal is crystal clear: making sure international students feel supported and welcomed at every step of their journey to France.
We’re there at every stage: before their arrival, to help them prepare for their stay; during their mobility, to support them with all their administrative processes; and even after, for those who wish to extend their experience and settle in France. Visas, housing, administrative procedures, job or internship searches, learning French (FLE), integrating into campus life… we help them navigate everything that could be a challenge 👌
But being well received isn't just about ticking off administrative boxes. It’s also about meeting new people, discovering a new culture, and creating unforgettable memories! That’s why we actively encourage exchanges between French and international students and promote initiatives that foster these interactions, such as the buddy system, mentoring, and the work of student associations, which play a crucial role in social integration on campus.
At its core, Study in France is a community—a collective of international students, associations, schools, and universities. A strong, supportive network built on sharing and inclusion. And to ensure that this community remains accessible to as many students as possible, we believe that our platform should be free of charge. That’s why we are committed to keeping it free.

Why Is Our Platform Free? How Do We Fund It?
We often get asked: Why is Study in France free? How do you fund the project? These are fair questions, and the best way to answer them is to talk about the model that inspired us: HelloAsso.
For those unfamiliar with it, HelloAsso is a French company that helps associations by providing them with free management software (for those curious, you can check out their 2023 activity report). Their unique business model? Their entire mission is funded through voluntary contributions from the associations that use their service. Everyone contributes if and when they can… and it works! Today, HelloAsso supports a community of 10 million people within 377,391 associations.
A great success story that inspired us. To support as many international students as possible, ensuring free access to our platform was crucial. The idea was simple, but the reality is more complex: how do we finance the development of the platform and all its associated costs?
After much thought, we finally found a solution: sponsorship. This is open to key players in international mobility—schools, universities, student residences, and institutions—who want to provide their students with access to Study in France’s resources (the Student Hub, our guides, and more). Just like HelloAsso, this model is based on voluntary contributions.
Schools, universities, student residences, institutions, and partners: Study in France exists today because of you. If you’d like to support our project and explore partnership opportunities, you can check out our partner pages or contact Théo Debroize, co-founder of Study in France.

Our Commitment to the Planet
Beyond our commitment to international mobility, we believe that every company has a role to play in the fight against climate change. That’s why we donate a portion of our revenue to environmental organizations through 1% for the Planet.
You can join the movement, too! It’s easy: learn about the mission of 1% for the Planet and spread the word.

Asked Questions

What is Tech for Good all about?
The Tech for Good movement brings together companies, associations, and project leaders who use technology to serve the public interest.
The idea: to harness digital tools to tackle real-world issues—social, societal, or environmental—rather than focusing solely on economic performance.
This movement is partly inspired by the values of the Social and Solidarity Economy ('ESS' in French) and aims to provide useful, accessible, and responsible solutions through tech.
At Study in France, we strongly believe in the power of this movement and want to contribute to it in our own way.
Why is Study in France free?
We chose to make our platform free so that every international student, regardless of their budget, can access our resources ☺️
To finance the project, we adopted a sponsorship-based model inspired by HelloAsso. Schools, universities, student residences, and institutions that wish to can support us in offering these tools to their students.
Who can use Study in France?
Study in France is designed for all international students, regardless of their home country or the French institution they are attending. We provide guides, tools, and advice to help them prepare for their stay, manage administrative tasks, find housing, understand French culture, and integrate more easily.
How can I contribute to the Study in France project?
There are many ways to get involved! You can share our resources, spread the word about Study in France, or, if you represent a school, university, student residence, or association, consider partnering with us.
