About us

What does ESN Rennes do?

Our mission is simple: to welcome international students to the Rennes 2 campus and help you make the most of your year in Brittany’s capital. We’re here to connect people, share local culture, and make your stay as exciting as it is fun ✌️

Are there activities specifically for new students?

Absolutely! We run events all year round, but we go all out at the start of each semester to help you meet new people and settle into student life in Rennes. Follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing 😉

How can I join your events?

Super easy — we post all our upcoming activities on Instagram. You’ll find all the key info there (location, time, cost if any). Our events are open to all international students, so feel free to come along, even if it’s just to say hi!

Do you offer a buddy system?

We don’t run a buddy programme ourselves, but we’re always here to welcome you on campus. If you’d like to be matched with a local student, we highly recommend signing up for the Buddy System — you can apply directly on their website 🙂

How can I get in touch with you?

You can message us on Instagram, join our WhatsApp group, or simply send us an email at: esn.rennes@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to reply quickly!

How can I become a volunteer with the association?

Keen to join the team? Just drop us a message on Instagram — that’s where we’re most active. Our team changes every year (around summer/September), but we’re always happy to welcome new friendly and motivated people. Don’t hesitate to reach out 😉

📍 On campus

For anything related to your studies, reach out to the office in charge of supporting international students. In most schools and universities, it’s called the International Relations Office (or Direction des Relations Internationales in French).

At smaller institutions, there might be just one contact person for both French and international students. In that case, it’s best to start by asking the main office or student services to find out who to talk to.

📍 Student life

For everything related to student life, ESN Rennes is here for you! Our mission: making sure your integration in Rennes goes as smoothly as possible 🙌

For administrative procedures like CAF, CROUS, or the prefecture, we recommend checking out our dedicated articles — they’re packed with useful info to help you navigate it all more easily.

Overview

ESN Rennes is a student association that helps international students feel at home in our beautiful Breton capital: Rennes.

All year long, we organise activities, meetups and events to help you dive into local life and enjoy great moments with fellow students in Rennes. We also plan plenty of trips and excursions throughout the year so you can explore other regions of France during your Erasmus adventure. Think day trips to Nantes (with our friends from ESN Nantes), a getaway to Disneyland Paris, visits to Loire Valley castles, and even wine tastings in the vineyards ✌️

Welcome to Rennes—or as we say here, Kenavo!
